If you have an emergency after normal business hours, including weekends, please call the DSLD Homes Emergency After Hours Line at 1-844-767-2713. Emergencies, as defined in the Customer Care Manual, include total loss of heat or air, total loss of electricity, total loss of water, a gas leak, and a plumbing leak that requires the entire water supply to be shut off.

    What are your model home hours?

    Our model home hours for the spring/summer are Monday – Saturday from 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. and Sunday 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. During the fall/winter, our Model Home hours are Monday - Saturday 9:30 A.M – 5:30 P.M. and Sunday 12:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M.

    Does every DSLD community have a model home?

    No, some of our communities do not have a model home. Homes in these new communities are sold from a nearby community that does have a model home.

    Do I need a realtor to purchase a DSLD Home?

    No, our Builder Sales Representatives can fully assist you through the entire home buying process. 

    Where does DSLD Homes currently build new construction homes?

    We currently build new homes in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

    Can DSLD build a home on my private lot/land?

    No, we only build in our DSLD Homes communities.

    What is the first step to start the home building process with DSLD Homes?

    First things first: Contact a Builder Sales Representative!  They will take you step by step through the home buying process.

    How do I join the DSLD Team?

    Check out the Careers section on our website to find available jobs, and apply now!

    Can I customize my DSLD home?

    Structural changes to plans are not an option, but a Builder Sales Representative will assist you in making personal choices for your home at the color appointment. DSLD does offer a selection of floor plans, colors, flooring, granite, lighting packages, and cabinets to make the decision process less stressful.

    Why are select floor plans only available in certain communities?

    Floor plans for each community are hand-selected based on lot size and cost.

    Where do I find the list of DSLD upgrades with pricing?

    Every neighborhood is different, and upgrades are based on the community’s options. Visit the model home in your selected community, and the Builder Sales Representative can provide you with that information.

    How long will the construction process take?

    Once you have decided to build your home with DSLD, the construction process will take approximately 5.5 to 6 months.

    Does DSLD offer sales, discounts, or incentives on your homes?

    We do occasionally offer incentives, which are listed under Current Offers.

    Does DSLD remodel homes?

    Unfortunately, DSLD does not remodel homes.

    What services does DSLD offer?

    DSLD Homes is a one-stop-shop! We offer help with every part of the home buying process, including the mortgage, title, insurance, and post-closing customer care.

    Do you have pictures or virtual tours of DSLD’s floor plans?

    Yes, our floor plans are on our community pages.  For many, 360-degree tours are available.

    How do I get on the list to find out more information on DSLD Homes and announcements?

    You can stay up to date by signing up to receive our emails. You can also follow DSLD on Facebook and Instagram.

    How do I find out what events/open houses are happening in my area?

    Check out the events section of our website to stay in the know for all DSLD Homes current events! You can also follow us on Facebook to learn about upcoming events.

    How do I start the DSLD loan process?

    The first step is getting pre-approved! Fill out a loan application, or contact a DSLD Mortgage Loan Officer to get started.

    What items do I need to see if I am preapproved for a mortgage?

    Don’t stress! A DSLD Mortgage Loan Officer will contact you once you have completed the mortgage pre-approval on the website. The Loan Officer will walk you through the mortgage process, but you can start getting these items together: Your driver’s license, social security card, two years of completed tax returns (form 1040), two years of W-2’s, 30 days of payslips, and two months of your bank transaction history. If you are self-employed, you must have your business tax returns and current profit & loss statement (P&L).

    Is a deposit required to start building my DSLD Home?

    In most DSLD communities, no deposit is required.

    Where is DSLD Homes’ office located?

    We have numerous offices throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Our main office is located at 1220 S. Range Ave. Denham Springs, LA 70726.

    I own a company and would like to see if DSLD Homes would be interested in utilizing my services. Who would I need to speak with?

    Will someone keep me up to date on the construction progress of my home?

    Yes! The Builder Sales Representative will be in contact with you through emails, text messages, pictures and phone calls during the entire process.  You may also visit the model home during construction.

    What kind of warranty comes with my DSLD Home?

    With the purchase of a DSLD home, you are guaranteed 1 year of builder warranty, 2 years of systems warranty, and a structural warranty. (Please check your state's warranty manual to know the exact structural time frame.)

    What energy efficiency/smart features do you offer?

    Building energy efficient homes is a priority for DSLD. We strive to keep your cost of homeownership low. From a tight building foundation to Low E3 windows, we outfit your new home with the latest energy-efficient improvements

    What type and size of homes do you build?

    We build a variety of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,300 to 3,300 square feet.

    What is the minimum credit score needed to qualify for a home?

    A DSLD mortgage loan officer will assist you with any pre-qualifying questions. You can also check the Credit Score Guidelines at DSLD Mortgage.

    What type of loans does DSLD Mortgage offer?

    DSLD Mortgage is a full-service mortgage company. We offer numerous loan programs including Conventional, FHA, Veterans Administration, and Rural Development Loans.

    5 Spring Cleaning Tips for Your New DSLD Home


    Find the time

    • The first step in an effective spring cleaning is
      finding the time, scheduling it in, and executing it. Our suggestion is to see
      what works best with your busy lifestyle. Whether it is to map out a few hours
      a week or block off a full day.  

    Toss it

    • Spring cleaning gives you and your family the
      opportunity to rid your home of unnecessary items such as clothes that you have
      outgrown (always try and donate), items that serve no purpose (like that
      trinket you picked up on your last road trip), accumulated junk mail, and that
      pesky pantry that is full of uneaten, old food. 

    Tackle it

    • Tackling those baseboards that are overflowing with
      the day’s grime, dusting the blinds that are no longer white, shaking out the
      rug that your furry friend decided was its very own towel, and don’t forget
      about those ceiling fans. 

    Wipe it

    • The walls might not look like they need a bath, but
      they probably do. We tend to focus more on our floors and not so much on our
      walls, baseboards, and cabinets. However, they tend to get just as much dust,
      dirt, and gunk as the rest of the home. We recommend using a microfiber cloth
      to help make the job a little easier. 

    Scrub it

    • A deep scrub of your refrigerator, washing machine,
      dishwasher and even your sink will keep your home smelling fresh and squeaky
      clean. These tend to be the little things that we forget about so easily. One
      of our favorite tips to clean your disposal is to add a thinly cut lemon for a
      fresh smell, add a few ice cubes, and a teaspoon of salt to help clean any
      leftover food residue. You can also buy products designed specifically for the
      job.
