Our 12-step Path to Ownership ensures that from the moment you sign the contract to the day you receive your keys, you're guided every step of the way.
1. Select Your Floor Plan & Lot
Visit one of our new home communities to explore layouts and amenities. A Builder Sales Representative will guide you in selecting the perfect home site and floor plan for your needs.
2. Get Pre-Qualified for a Mortgage
DSLD Homes makes the process easy with DSLD Mortgage. We can help you obtain mortgage pre-approval quickly, and you can even apply online!
3. Sign a Purchase Agreement
Next, your Builder Sales Representative will help create and guide you through signing the agreement, confirming your lot number and floor plan.
4. Personalize Your Home with Color & Option Selections
While DSLD Homes builds your house, you will make it your own by choosing colors, flooring, cabinets, and other design elements to fit your style.
5. Breaking Ground on Your New Home
The process begins! DSLD Homes will obtain permits and prepare the lot for construction. You’ll receive updates at key milestones, keeping you informed every step of the way.
6. Framing Begins
During this stage, we will build the structure of your home and confirm your closing date. It's an exciting milestone as your home starts to take shape!
7. Weekly Progress Reports Begin
Stay connected as your home comes to life with weekly photo and video updates from your Builder Sales Representative.
8. Construction Progress Continues
As your DSLD home takes shape, you will receive photo and text updates showing progress through key stages like sheetrock, flooring, top out, and interior trim.
9. Prepare for Closing
With your mortgage approved, your Builder Sales Representative will celebrate your new home, and a DSLD Closing Coordinator will assist with final documents.
10. DSLD Quality Inspection
DSLD performs a thorough 1,000-point inspection to ensure your home meets all quality standards and systems function properly.
11. First Walk & Sign-Off
See your completed home during a detailed 2-hour orientation. We’ll review smart features, energy-efficient systems, and answer all your questions.
12. Closing & Move In Day
After closing, we conduct follow-up inspections to ensure your home meets expectations. Our proactive Customer Care team is here to support you whenever you need it.
