1. Do I Need a Realtor to Buy a DSLD Home?

Nope! You don’t need a realtor to buy a home from us. Our Builder Sales Representatives will guide you through the process from start to finish, including contracts, selections, and closing.

If you prefer to have a realtor, that’s fine too — but it’s completely optional. We’re here to make the process seamless either way.

2. What’s the First Step in Building a Home?

The first step is connecting with one of our Builder Sales Representatives. 

We’ll walk you through:

3. How Long Will My Home Take to Build?

On average, our homes take about 5–6 months from start to finish. Some plans or communities may be faster, others slightly longer — but we always provide a realistic timeline upfront and keep you updated every step of the way.

4. Can I Customize My Home?

Yes! While our floor plans are set, you can personalize your home with selections like:

➡️ Flooring, paint, and cabinetry
➡️ Countertops and lighting
➡️ Exterior finishes

Some structural changes aren’t possible, but there are plenty of ways to make your DSLD Home truly yours.

5. Where Can DSLD Build a Home?

We build in select communities across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida. While we don’t build on private land, we offer beautiful, established neighborhoods with amenities and easy access to schools, shopping, and entertainment.

6. What’s Included in the Price of a DSLD Home?

We include many features that other builders might charge extra for — like energy-efficient appliances, quality finishes, and more. Optional upgrades are available, so you can customize your home to fit your budget.

When you visit a model or speak with a sales representative, we’ll give you a detailed list of what’s included in your specific plan.

7. Are There Incentives or Discounts?

Absolutely! Our monthly incentives can include closing cost assistance, special mortgage rates, and other perks. We always recommend asking about the current offers so you can maximize your savings.

This March, when you write a purchase agreement on DSLD homes by March 31st and close by May 29th using DSLD Mortgage and DSLD Title, you can receive:

9. What Warranties Come With My New Home?

All DSLD Homes come with multiple warranties:

➡️ Longer structural warranty

We walk you through exactly what’s covered and how to use it, so you feel confident and protected in your new home. Check your state's warranty manual to know the exact structural time frame.

10. How Do I Start the Loan Process?

Getting pre-qualified is easy with DSLD Mortgage. Our loan officers will guide you through every step — from application to approval — so you can focus on choosing your home, not worrying about financing.
