At DSLD Homes, we are committed to striving for constant improvement in all areas of our operation. This pursuit has led us to the implementation of a multitude of cost effective energy efficiency technologies for our homeowners.
INSULATION – we increase wall insulation values well above building code requirements. High density R-15 Wall Bib Insulation will not settle like cellulose and provides a constant R-Value for the walls. In the attic, we use an R-38 Fiberglass loose fill. It will not settle like cellulose, and is naturally fire resistant.
HVAC – In our communities that have gas available, DSLD Homes installs a 14 SEER air conditioning system that utilizes R-410 refrigerant, with high efficiency gas furnaces. In our communities that are all electric, we install a 14 SEER heat pump system.
WINDOWS – DSLD Homes installs double insulated Anderson/Silverline Low E3 windows. These windows carry a lifetime warranty, backed by the manufacturer.
FRAMING CHANGES – DSLD Homes uses radiant heat barrier roof decking to significantly lower attic temperatures. We also utilize US Department of Energy endorsed advanced framing techniques, which help eliminate the insulation voids created by traditional framing techniques.
